Is this a radical Honda City or what? Just look at it! Multi-color paint job, screaming graphics, aftermarket wheels, low-profile tires, and a light bar!? This car really screams attention. And by “scream”, I mean literally screaming! Coz it’s got a super loud sound system with a wall of subwoofers occupying the rear passenger area. Oh and by the way, it’s not just the car that you’ll find screaming… You will find yourself screaming to your friends beside you if you can still manage to have a conversation. That’s how loud this car can get.

Opening the door reveals more surprises. It’s got 4 tweeters, 2 mids, and 2 low range speakers on each door!!! Plus a trick LCD monitor. Also note the un-tinted portion of the rear window. That’s a massive LCD monitor there baby! Onlookers are treated not just to a musical treat, but to a visual treat as well!

Now what is it that makes this car so loud? Opening the trunk reveals the array of 6 amplifiers mounted in such a way that it seems to float. And then there’s the trick blue lighting that accentuates the effect.

But That’s not all! The trunk lid also features 4 LCD monitors adding to the visual spectacle. Awesome!

Honda aptly named this car the “City” as it is well at home with life in the city, and we all know that the city is the place to be if you wanna party! Well, Kid Audio has just taken this car to the next level… This City is definitely a car that you can party with!

When you hear the words “Chevrolet Tahoe”, you start to think it’s something big, bad, and nasty. Man’s “mine’s bigger than yours” thinking comes into play here, because big SUVs spell masculinity.

But by owning a vehicle, say for example the Chevy Tahoe, there’s always that KID in each of us that makes us want to do something to make it our own.

Well here’s a Tahoe, which has been customized by Kid Audio, to bring out the Kid in us. This ride was showcased in the Auto Summit 2009 at Festival Mall, Alabang last 15-23 August.

The front door features an array of 3-way separates (low, mid, and tweeters) angled to provide optimum imagining and awesome sound quality to make this a concert on wheels. Crankin’ up the music will make you hear the sounds coming from the top of the dashboard. Sweet!

The rear door also features an array of 2-way separate speakers, not leaving the party only to the people in front. If you’ve got a big SUV, all your passengers have got to enjoy the beat! And this custom system does just that.

Opening the rear will showcase the trick amplifier rack with a large monitor and speakers to give onlookers a share of the action. Note the red lighting on the amp rack to match the paint of the Tahoe. At the back of this is a subwoofer wall which is located behind the rear passenger seat. Be easy on the volume control, as this system is capable of “blowing your brains out”!

Lastly, there’s nothing like custom graphics, blingin’ and rollin’ on dubs to complete the package.

So do you think this’ll make the man feel like a kid again? Hell yeah!

If you see a car looking this cool and on the outside…

You’d have to wonder: What’s it like on the inside?

You can all have different answers to this. Well I’m gonna show you an example of how it SHOULD be like.

Nothing spells more luxury in a car than Plush Leather Seats. This one of the biggest things that make luxury cars luxurious. And that’s the reason why every Rolls Royce or Bentley out there comes with a Plush Leather Interior.

That, and wood trim on the dash. It just makes your car feel fit for a king! And queen of course, as you will have her seated on the adjacent throne. As you spend most of your seated inside the car driving, rather than outside the car admiring or waxing, you have got to make it look and feel good on the inside as well.

The doors have to have leather too! It is what completes the reason and being for this modification.

Of course you shouldn’t forget the rear seat, as this is where all the action happens… A lot of action happens when you have kids at the back. So make sure they’re feeling comfortable throughout the trip. It also saves them from the usual asthma attack.

So does a Plush Leather Interior complete the car? Indeed! It’s what makes the car – THE car.

If there’s one thing that’s unique about this Fortuner, it’s that you will HEAR it before you SEE it.

Even though it’s got all the custom graphics to give you an idea of what’s in store for you inside…

Plus a body kit that could probably help reduce road noise while on the go…

It’s the sound waves that this behemoth produces which would command attention. Once you see it roll beside you with the windows down, you’ll see the means by which this Fortuner commands attention – a WALL of SUBWOOFERS behind the driver! Kicker Solobarics to be more precise, as given away by the graphics emblazoned on the outside of the vehicle.

As it stops to park, and the driver gets out, you’ll get to see the inside of the vehicle, and you’ll be amazed to see that this Fortuner is not only an Sound Pressure Level Bangin’ beast, but a Sound Quality producing machine as well! You’ll notice the door mounted midrange speakers and tweeters angled to give optimum imagining to produce the best sound quality. You will truly be treated to a concert on wheels! It should also be worth noting the LCD monitor on the dash.

As you now know that the subwoofers occupy the space from the back of the driver’s seat onwards, you’ll start to wonder what the rear doors are for? Well open them up, and you’ll be treated to a visual spectacle to compliment the music. Take a look at the large LCD monitor, plus additional speakers. This is indeed a party on wheels!

If you wanna know where all the power is coming from, open the back and you’ll find a trick amplifier rack with custom cut plexiglass brought to life by awesome blue lighting. It also has more speakers and monitors above to provide you with music that will arouse all your senses.

We Pinoys are well known for our ingenuity in making impossible things happen. And when it comes to customizing cars and coming up with the snazziest and most awesome designs in body kits, we’re hard to beat (think A-Toy, StarBright, etc).

Is that a Ferrari!?

Is this the beginning of a new age, where Pinoys can produce their own SuperCars? Well just take a look at this gorgeous beauty. With an all-fiberglass bodyshell, you’d start to think twice if this was a Ferrari, but it is not. It’s a custom designed car which took 3 years to make.

A peek inside this car reveals a single bucket seat with racing harness. According to the designer, this car came into life with circuit racing in mind. But take note of the LTO registration sticker – this car is actually road legal! It was driven under its own power from Laguna to Alabang just to be featured in the Auto Summit 2009 at Festival Mall, Alabang last August 15-23.

Speaking of power, this car’s propulsion comes from a Honda B16A engine mounted behind the cockpit in a mid-engine, rear wheel drive fashion, just like a typical supercar! This is indeed something we’d like to get our hands on and drive on the circuit just to get a feel of how this car handles.

And if you’re curious about how this car will manage handling the curves, the suspension system was also taken from the donor Honda Civic SiR from which the engine came from.

We all know that a supercar has got to have the curves to make the driver look good in every sort of way. So here’s a view of this car’s behind. This is indeed something that people won’t mind seeing even when overtaken by this beauty on the road.

Now here’s one super cool Silver Classic Mini Cooper. This ride was featured in the Auto Summit 2009 at Festival Mall, Alabang last August 15-23. It’s been fully restored and customized by blending this classic vehicle with modern technology.

As you enter the driver’s seat, you’d still get the feel of the Classic Mini. Check out the Instrument cluster at the center of the un-upholstered dash, manual roll-down windows, and John Cooper steering wheel. But what gives away the classic lines are the accessories. See the stereo head unit beneath the driver’s side of the dash, the LCD monitor above the dash, as well as the custom speaker enclosure mounted on the door. The beauty of this install is that everything has been color-matched in such a way that you’d think it came like this straight out of the factory!

Opening the passenger’s side door reveals another custom speaker enclosure, and an airconditioning unit under the dash to ensure that you roll in comfort and not just style. Who would want to be seen driving this car with beads of sweat forming on their forehead? Also note the rollbar at the back. This gives away the fact that this car wasn’t made just to look good, but to go fast!

Firing up the sound system, you’d be surprised to hear a “thump” that you’d never get with just mid and high range speakers. Everyone knows how much of a challenge it could be to install a good sound system in a small car such as a Classic Mini. But here’s a perfect example to show that this is not an impossible feat! Aside from the rear fill speakers on the rear deck, opening the boot (trunk) reveals the secret to how this Mini’s sound system packs a punch… or rather, a KICK, as you’ll find a Kicker Subwoofer in a tricked out enclosure. But the good thing is, you still have anough space in the boot to store a good sized gym bag!

Here’s a closeup of what’s inside the boot. Notice the trick subwoofer enclosure and clear boot floor. And hey! It still has a spare tire! Unlike most subwoofer installs where you lose the pacticality of a spare tire, this ride was created with form and function in mind.

Just take a look at this gorgeous ride. This is a perfect example of something that’s contradictory to the stereotypical male thinking: “mine’s bigger than yours”. Because this is one Classic Mini that just about any sane male being would truly want to have.

Have you ever heard the saying: “I drive a Honda Civic SiR. It’s unique! Just like everybody else’s.”?

The difficult thing about these cars is that a lot of people have it, that you have to really do something to set it apart from the rest.

It’s not just the passion (for) orange…

Well here’s another Honda Civic SiR, in Passion Orange – probably the most sought-after color when this model was released in the Philippines. The only apparent exterior modifications that have been done are aftermarket chrome wheels, low profile tires, and lowered suspension. Great! Coz almost everyone else has tricked out their SiR the same way. So what has Kid Audio done to set it apart from the rest? You’d have to look inside in order to find out…

Open the door, and you’re greeted by a 5-speaker array of DLS mid-range speakers and tweeters mounted on custom-fabricated door inserts with built-in speaker baffles, along with a trick LCD monitor. The mere sight of the combination sends tingles of excitement down your spine, as you prepare to enter the realm of an all-out mobile entertainment system on wheels.

Soon as you stoop down to prepare to mount yourself on one of the Bride Racing seats, your heart skips a beat as you behold the sight of 6 massive earth-shaking DLS Subwoofers mounted on a custom transparent subwoofer wall with trick blue lighting.

The passenger’s side door features the same audio-video combination as the driver’s side. The speakers are angled to provide the best imagining and sound quality to give you a sound stage right on top of your dashboard. You have not only a dB drag monster, you’ll also be treated to a concert-on-wheels!

I’m sure by now you’d start wondering what the rear doors are for, as the sub enclosure occupies the entire rear area, from the back of the front seats, onwards. Well opening the rear doors reveal large flat-screen TVs on either side, providing an extra drool-inducing effect on the crowd.

And opening the trunk reaveals where all the insane wizardry comes from. Aside from the clearly visible set of speakers and capacitors staring you in the face, the amplifier enclosure features the custom-cut DLS logo on plexiglass, providing eye-candy with blue lighting, and contrasting red lights coming from the digital displays allowing you to monitor the conditions to ensure continuous enjoyment and entertainment.

So if you’re looking to set your Honda Civic SiR apart from the crowd, this is definitely a way to do just that!

The Auto Summit 2009 at Festival Mall, Alabang, was showcased with a plethora of different rides ranging from Brand New, fresh from the showroom cars, to all out extreme customs.

The show was dominated by extreme show cars from Kid Audio, who had 5 vehicles on display: A Honda Jazz/Fit, Honda City, Chevrolet Tahoe, Toyota Fortuner, and a Honda Civic SiR; all tricket out with custom wheel/tire combos, body kits, and heart-stopping audio/video systems.

Q-Check was also there to show-off their rides which were so clean, you could see your own reflection! These rides were cleaner and shinier than something you could buy brand-new from the dealer!
