We usually feature cars at CustomPinoyRides. But now that its 2011, and we’ve launched the CPR Car Photography Club, which we believe is the first of its kind in the world, this time, we’re featuring an awesome photo captured by a car photographer.

Why awesome? Because there’s a story behind it. And we’ve called it “Daredevil Car Photography” because of that. The “Daredevil” in question is Andrew Rodriguez. And here’s his story:

THE MOST memorable shot in my entire photography life…

Taken during the 2009 Driftwave Series… Round 2 if i’m not mistaken. It was during practice session. The S13 went wide on the 1st turn, I was on the perimeter barriers behind the tire wall. I knew the car was gonna hit the tires but I decided to stay on a few seconds longer to get the shot I wanted. CLICK! JUMP! No dice… The car touched several feet of tire wall which in turn moved the perimeter barriers back a few feet which, in turn, hit me as I jumped off. Landed on my knees and one hand (errr… I had to make sure my camera was safe in mid-air). Got up, checked the last frames I shot, limped to another spot with a torn pant leg and scratched up knee but I had a grin on my face so wide people thought I was nuts after seeing what happened.

Yes… the things Photographers do to get the perfect shots. As the saying goes: “Walk three steps forward, shoot four times as much.” But in this case: “Walk, run, jump, click click click click click, kapow!”

The Suzuki Swift is a hot hatch, that has back seats to fit more passengers… supposedly. That is, until Jetcar tinkered with it.

Browsing through my photo archive, I find this gorgeous Spoon Honda GD Fit/Jazz. Now this is what I call a “stylish but economical” ride!

When was the last time you saw a classic Volkswagen beetle where you had to double back and actually approach it to see it up close and personal? Well, this is one example that will surely make you do just that.

Fully customized inside and out, with features that push the limits of classic show car innovation, this is something that you won’t regret checking out.

Up front, the hood… errr… trunk… has had its sheetmetal cut out and replaced with transparent fiberglass to showcase what it’s got underneath – Audiobahn amplifiers, speakers, and other hardware, giving you a hint of what else this ride’s got under its sleeves. The headlights have also been updated with modern units.

The stock bumpers have also been removed for a sleeker look. The engine bay is neat and clean, with an aftermarket air filter shown here. Insulation has been installed in the firewall to ensure the engine heat does not emanate into the interior. The exhaust pipes have also been upgraded with larger diameter units giving it a muscular look.

Speaking of the interior, lets open the doors and check out what’s inside. This sneak peak already gives you a hint of the showcase to be seen inside. But before that, notice the awesome large diameter wheels with chrome lip and low-profile tires sitting flush with the fenders.

Inside, it’s out of this world! You know those days when we were young and we used to imagine owning some super-cool ride? Well, this is what it would look like from the inside. Transparent steering wheel, white and yellow interior, a plethora of gadgets, TV screens, several speakers, and all highlighted in pink lighting!

So what do you think? Isn’t this awesome or what? I think it’s totally cool!

The French Fashion House Louis Vuitton, known for their LV logo, is one of the leading fashion houses in the world. With products ranging form leather bags and shoes to watches, jewelries, accessories, and even sunglasses!

That is, until the LNS Crew came about and decided to design an entire car, both the interior and exterior, out of the Louis Vuitton motif. In this case, they kitted out the latest Honda Civic FD. And you know what? I think it looks quite good! If you’re a Louis Vuitton fan yourself, then this could just be the perfect addition to your collection.

Read on as we take you through a virtual tour around and inside this stylish ride. And don’t even bother trying to count how many LV logos you’re about to see, because you’ll go crazy before you even get to count half.

Looking at the car from the outside, and you already wonder what’s on the inside. And upon opening the door, it is just as you’d expect it to be… all Louis Vuitton, same as the outside.

But as you sit inside, it is apparent that this ride isn’t only about looking good, but sounding good too. A custom audio-video entertainment system has been installed. Just take a look at those speakers in the front and rear doors, and A-pillars right above the dash.

And as you crank up the music, there’s the heart-pounding bass that rocks with the music. Pop the trunk and you’ll see where all that power is coming from.

Frankly, I think the wheels installed in this picture looks better on the car than the one in the topmost picture. What do you think guys?

Following last year’s win in the Electric Winch Category of the China-Sanya International 4×4 Challenge with their Land Rover Defender 90 which we’ve previously featured here at CustomPinoyRides (Land Rover Defender 90 by Team Land Rover philippines), the team is once again ready to face this year’s challenge.
