If you’ve been following the international drift scene, then you probably know by now that the Drift King himself – Keiichi Tsuchiya, and Daijiro Inada, split from the D1 Grand Prix drift championship to form their own series – The Drift Muscle.
If you didn’t know about this, then you should know that Speedhunters has been doing an in-depth coverage of the event, from it’s history to the most current updates. You can check out their coverage here –> The Drift Muscle at Speedhunters.com.
So I am pleased to announce that our very own Filipino-Japanese Drifter Toni Arakaki of Team Suicidal will be competing in this series.
He is already set to join round 3 of this event to be held on July 17, together with some bigtime D1 names that you would only see on videos and in magazines! People such as Masato Kawabata (that’s Kawabata in the Black 180SX shown in the picture above) and Daigo Saito… Phew! Talk about competing with the best!
Ladies and gentlemen, please support our fellow Pinoy as he embarks in this challenge, as he will be sporting the Philippine Flag in this great event. Note that we will post a live streaming link before the event so you can watch all the action right here at CustomPinoyRides.com. Thank you!
In the meantime, check out the video to see the final of Round 2 of The Drift Muscle…

This is a video of an old school Toyota AE71 Corolla that has been dropped, stanced, cambered, and modified into a hardcore tire-shredding sideways-going drift machine. This now sort of reminds me of those similarly stanced E30 BMWs. Me likey!
This goes out to all the hardcore old school fans out there. Old School Rocks… So watch the video now!!!

Remember our previous feature on Paolo Martinez’ Slammed and Flushed Subaru Impreza rolling on Rota Grids? Well that setup has changed now… His ride now features Linea Corse wheels in the same width as the previously installed Rota Grids, but with a lower offset. Paolo then lowered the car some more for an even better stance, and dialed in some negative camber to fit the wheels. The end product is one of the best looking WRXs in the motherland.

Call me cheesy but I think every photographer will find themselves doing Wedding Photography at some point in their life. So here’s our version of it.

Some time ago, we’ve shown you The Perfect Drift, where in Japan D1, Kawabata takes his Toyo Nissan RPS13 through an extremely deep drift angle so much that the back actually came first before the front. Such a technique is now know as the Reverse Entry Drift. If you haven’t seen the video, then please do check it out here –> The Perfect Drift.
But now, Fatlace Driver Walker Wilkerson brings the Reverse Entry Drift to Formula Drift! And here’s some raw footage of him in action at Formula Drift Florida. If you’re curious about the orientation of this photo, the car is actually moving from the right of the screen going to the left. That’s how far back the rear end is! So check out the video now!!!
The Auto Industriya Drift Cefiro as seen in the 2011 Trans Sport Show, now with new livery and color scheme!
Here’s how it looked like on our previous feature: http://custompinoyrides.com/2010/06/autoindustriya-nissan-cefiro-a31-drift-car/
What can I say, red suits the Cefiro!
Ford’s Kinetic design sure looks good even when static, especially when kitted out like this awesome Ford Fiesta spotted at the 2011 Trans Sport Show. Further research reveals that this car’s stance is courtesy of BC Racing V1 Coilovers courtesy of Garage One. I’m sure Walter Zamora is the envy of other Fiesta owners out there.
With so many Honda Citys out there in the roads today, it’s pretty hard to set yourself apart from everybody else. But you know what? I think this car has pulled it off. What can I say? Need For
Speed City Carbon.
As seen on the Speedlab booth during the 2011 Trans Sport Show. Congratulations to Speedlab for winning the Best Engine Display award with this awesome ride!

With so many hot cars out in the drift circuits nowadays, Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Porsches, and all that, I was wondering if there was anything Italian on the menu. Then I found this. Oh… And they say it’s faster than a Reventon.

Now if you’re looking at the top picture scratching your head wondering how a front-wheel-drive AE92 Toyota Corolla could possible drift, then wait till you see the rest of the photos below. The Circuit Showdown crew have managed to turn Binalonan Airfield into one tricky track, where you’d have to weave your way through various obstacles that will test your car control skills to the fullest.
