I turned 30 this year and instead of throwing a big party, we at CarPorn Racing® decided, what better way to spend a birthday than to have car enthusiasts get together in one massive car festival.

In the quest to build the best Nissan GT-R on the planet, Japanese aftermarket tuning company TRUST / GReddy seem to have created their own holy grail – the GReddy 35RX GT-R, an extremely modified Nissan R35 GT-R. In short, Godzilla on steroids.

Where us mere mortals form beads of sweat on our foreheads going at 250kph along SCTEX, driving with full concentration knowing that one sudden twitch of the steering wheel could lead to disaster, for Japanese professional driver Tarzan Yamada, taking the GReddy 35RX GT-R to speeds of up to 333kph along Fuji Speedway is just another day at work.

Wait… 333kph!? Let me put some perspective into this. Yes, Fuji Speedway is known to have one of the longest straights amongst the other motorsports tracks, at 1.5km in length. But the top speed achieved by F1 cars in the last Japanese GP held at Fuji Speedway in 2008 was 310kph! Those are friggin’ Formula 1 cars! So for a mere Nissan GT-R to beat that, well, the folks at GReddy get some serious bragging rights.

Here’s what they did to achieve that: First, the 3.8L VR38DETT engine had been stroked to 4.3L. Second, they replaced the stock twin turbos with TD06-20G units. Third, they replaced the intake manifold and exhaust with their own GReddy versions. Next, they replaced the stock intercooler with a Type-29 unit, and the stock oil cooler and pan with DCT units. Total power is now a whopping 1250hp! Lastly, to keep the car from taking off while going at speeds beyond what it was designed to go, a BenSopra wide-body aero kit was installed. The exterior was then topped off with graphics and livery from Art Factory for more eye-popping visual appeal.

I’m sure this car would inspire Nissan GT-R fans and tuners in the Philippines to take their cars to the next level in terms of looks and performance. Who could resist seeing the mighty Nissan GT-R beat the pants off of even the most expensive exotics in the country?

Watch Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle 2 (Triumph vs. Mustang), where a pair of Triumph Speed Triples – bikes built for the sole purpose of drifting, goes up against a 550hp Ford Mustang Cobra drift police car that was built “To Swerve and Protect”.

The sequel to the Icon original video: Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle – Nick ‘Apex’ Brocha is back and this time he brought his Empire teammate, Ernie Vigil. The two are mounted on a pair of crackling Triumph Speed Triples – built by Roaring Toyz for the sole purpose of going sideways. Over the last year their quest to find the ultimate drifting playground has led them to the rolling hills of High Plains County. Low traffic, perfect asphalt and endless twisties have kept them busy resurfacing roads with their rear tires for weeks. The only problem is the local authorities have had enough. Enter Police Officer Dan Brockett, the only man with the muscle to keep these two in sight. His 550 horsepower Ford Mustang Cobra was built for speed and he’s got a license to use it…

Stance Pilipinas / Manila Fitted is a group where in the main focus is about the Stance of the car and the Fitment of the wheels and tires.

The scene is not yet that well known. But we are here to help and give advice to those who want to be a part of the community.

We Just had out 2nd meet at McKinley Hill and over 40 plus cars came and supported us.

It was a successful meet the carpark was filled with great looking cars who are also into the stance scene. People were enjoying themselves and the meet had a very positive vibe all throughout the night.

Justin Bieber, the global singing superstar, isn’t the name most of us would associate with custom cars, or even Batmobiles, but it turns out we were wrong. In Mid-December 2011 Biebs was stopped by the California Highway Patrol in Los Angeles for an illegal manoeuvre in his matt black customised Cadillac. The car has been nicknamed the Bieber Batmobile because it has been given a Batman custom refit.

Bieber is only 17-years-old and not even old enough to play Partypoker.com, and the legal age of driving in California is 18, so the Biebs was either driving on a provisional licence while accompanied by an adult or using his Canadian licence. He was born and brought up in the Canadian province of Ontario where drivers can apply for a learner’s permit at the age of 16 and apply for a full licence a full year later. So, presumably, he was legal.

So, what sort of Batmobile was the pint-sized singer driving? The original Batmobile in the comics of the 1940s was an ordinary red convertible typical of the age. From the 1960s the Batmobile was a custom car, the show used a customised 1950s Lincolm Futura. This was a one-off, space-age looking car built in using a Lincoln Mark 2 chassis and 368 cubic inch Lincoln engine, but put together in Italy by Ghia. The car was modified by George Barris, who owned Barris Kustom Industries and styled himself as the King of Customizers.

Bieber’s car however is a high-performance luxury car known as the Cadillac (Bat-illac) CTS-V. It can do 0–60 in a mind-blowing 3.9 seconds, this is all packed around Magnetic Ride Control suspension and 6-piston front, 4-piston rear Brembo® brakes. Biebs’s car was seriously pimped by West Coast Customs owned by Ryan Friedlinghaus, who have outlets in Mexico, Germany, Dubai, Malaysia, Russia and Japan as well as Corona California. Biebs car has a ‘JB’ logo on the side panel and twin Batman symbols on the front and back.

I know you’ll agree with me when I say that a Corvette is a man’s car. It’s a sports car with so much power and grunt, it makes men feel even manlier. But what else can you do to a Corvette to turn it into a car of man’s wildest dreams? Well, apart from drifting this Corvette around Clark International Speedway, check out what Car Porn® Racing has done to their Corvette. With a suspension drop, camouflage wrap, tunable ECU, and other simple mods, Car Porn® Racing has put just put the M in Manly.

This is a quick video I put together of our car shop’s (Car Porn® Racing) first attempt at a car show.

We had 3 entries. All of which won an award. We were stoked cuz they all almost didn’t make it. We were prepping them till the very last minute. There was still so much we wanted to get done to them so we felt a little half assed. Next show though, we’ll be more prepared. The Corvette won 2nd in the Euro/American Sports car class. We lost to a Lamborghini Superleggera. The 3-Series won 4th and the M5 won 3rd in the Race Car class.

Corvette – Camo wrap, lowered, racing seats, tunable ECU, and tinted lights. Very simple mods, but wait till next year, we have some crazy plans for this car. Lets just say theres going to be a lot of cutting and extending…

3- Series BMW – This car is a complete race car which runs a Corvette LS3 engine. This car is awesome and such a beast on the track.

M5 – Running all the basic mods. Filter, Exhaust, ecu, etc. But what we were really proud of, was that the whole kit was custom built and the car was widened to fit 18″x12′s front and back!

All in all, I was impressed with the Manila Auto Salon. There were some great cars there. Especially the super high 4×4′s…Now i want to build one! The Aluminum Mustang running an RB26 was also very impressive. Entries into the MAS are improving every year, so I can’t wait to see what next year brings.

We were a little disappointed with some of the judging decisions. Our 3-Series and the M5 were put into the same class (race car) even though the M5 is a road car and not a race car.

Pinoy Formula D drifter Cyrus Martinez of Megan Racing put on an absolutely fantastic show in this year’s Formula D. Though he didn’t win the championship, I think he did a great performance considering he placed above a lot of heavy-hitter names such as Samuel Hubinette, Robbie Nishida, and Jeff Abbott to name a few, and the fact that this is just his second full season.
