If you’re a die-hard Pinoy car enthusiast, I’m sure you’ve heard of the Tuason Racing School Mazda BT-50 drift truck. You’ve probably seen it in action, swinging the long truck body side to side, drifting across a track you thought only cars would fit in. And if you think their yellow-black-white-blue color scheme was attractive, wait till you see it this year… in red, green, and chrome…. reminiscent of the Vodaphone sponsored race cars. Talk about flashy!

Now take that spectacular BT-50, put Mike Tuason behind the wheel, and you know you’re about to see some magic happen. Throw in the Tuason Racing Mazda RX-7 into the mix, with JP Tuason behind the wheel, and capture it on a video directed by none other than Ardie Lopez, what else can I say? If you don’t watch this, you’re missing half of your life!

This is an impromptu photo of a Toyota Hilux, errr… Lowlux, which I saw parked while driving home yesterday.

Being an impromptu shot, I didn’t have my trusty SLR with me. So I almost did not take this photo. But remembering the awesome photos I saw posted on the Mobile Phone Photography section of our Car Photography Club Forum (<-- click to join us!), I got inspired. So I stopped by the side of the road, took out my mobile phone, aimed for the perfect shot, and snapped away.

Slammed and Dub’d out. Yup, you’re definitely a baller if you roll on a truck like this. Manly, utilitarian, and fashionable. What more could you ask for?

This is Patrick Principe’s Isuzu Fuego LS. You must be saying “Nice two-tone paint! Is that for show?”, yes it’s a show truck. “Does it still serve its purpose as a pickup truck?”, yes of course, this was even the catering vehicle during our 2010 GYMKHANA DAZE event! “What’s with the wheels?”, well, it’s a track truck too, if there is such a term.

We’ve heard feedback that some people had second-thoughts of going to our GYMKHANA DAZE event with the thought of not having an appropriate track car to use. Well guess, what… Cars of different makes and models came in! From stock daily drivers to fully modified trailer queens, from old-school to new-school, even some cars that you frequently see in car shows!

And just to show you some proof that any car can go to the event, Roberto Minosa took some footage of Patrick Principe tackling the GYMKHANA DAZE track with his diesel, open-diff, Isuzu Fuego LS.
