But when you hear the name “199 Offroad House”, you instantly get pictures of crazy monster 4×4′s with massive tires that eat boulders for breakfast.

So what if you take a Suzuki Vitara, and bring it to 199 Offroad House? Well, you get this… a Suzuki Vitara… ON STEROIDS!!!

Take one look at this ride and you’ll find it hard to comprehend how this happened. It’s like David met Goliath and instead of battling it out to the death, they decided to be friends and combine forces for the heck of it. And you know what? It’s awesome!

The Punisher on the front bumper. Very fitting, as this vehicle will surely punish any obstacle it faces. And if all else fails, there’s always that winch to get you out of the gnarliest of extreme situations.

And take note, this isn’t any ordinary lift that was done just for the sake of fitting those massive tires under the fenders. This was engineered to function offroad, where no CRV or RAV4 would dare set foot. The flexy suspension enables it to traverse extreme terrain while keeping all 4 tires firmly planted on the ground. And the external reservoir shocks mean that no matter how rough the obstacles may get, you can be assured that the suspension would never let you down in terms of performance.

Despite the elevated ride height courtesy of the offroad suspension system and large-diameter Super Swamper TSL tires, the Safari Snorkel installed means business. This ride can now traverse rivers and floodwaters that would swallow whole any other ordinary SUV.

And this ride is equipped not just with the gear to get you through the rough stuff, but with the armor to protect the body and the super cool mural of The Punisher from wayward rocks or trees.

And when she rolls, she does so in attention-grabbing style that would put envy to the hearts of both men and women. Why? Because not everyone has a Hummer H2 sitting in their garage, more so a fully modified one!

Let us take you through tour around and inside Irene’s fabulous Hummer H2.

A woman makes the dress, or the dress makes the woman? You tell me! But as for this hummer, it is dressed in a full custom body kit, which was color-matched in white as with the rest of the vehicle.

Those are 26-inch shoes to match the dress. These chrome wheels are wrapped in 305/30R26 Nitto Rubber. This ride was also accessorized with chrome step boards to allow the lady easy access into the interior.

Speaking of the interior, check this out! Whether you’re driving, or chillin’ in the back seat, you’re equally clad in the same luxurious custom interior trim, which looks totally awesome in black and white. And while the driver and front passenger both have their share of audio-video entertainment via the dash-mounted monitor, the rear passengers get an extra treat with two massive headrest-mounted LCD’s!

But let’s not forget, as a driver, you must be focused on the road. You wouldn’t want any movie flick to distract you from your driving duties. But any such distraction can easily be pushed away from your mind with a simple movement of the right foot. Light up the Vortec engine, and you get instant gratification.

LRPhils Motors, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Land Rover vehicles in the Philippines Treated the Media and the public to a Terrapod Experience at the Rockwell Power Plant Mall March 25-27, 2010. The Terrapod is a mobile off-road track that can demonstrate the capabilities of the Land Rover vehicles’ in a similar off road terrain done in a safe and controlled environment.

One of the four obstacles of the Terrapod is called the Slide Slope, a 25-degree embankment that shows the stability that of a Land rover side ways. Then the Walking holes, this demonstrate distribute of engine power to the wheels with the most traction showing you and idea of it 4×4 capabilities. Up and Over a 30-degree ascent and a 30-degree descent. Last would be the SEESAW, its a swinging plank that tests a vehicle’s chassis strength and balance. The Terrapod brings the experience of Land Rover’s off-road supremacy to everyone. Why get a car when you can get a Land Rover?

It’s an urban-dwelling, rollin’-on-dubs, bling machine; offroad beach buggy warrior with Nitto Dune Grappler tires; utility truck with the pickup bed loaded up with an ATV; and torque monster towing a Yamaha Jetski (not seen in pictures). What else could you ask for?

The engine is neatly detailed, with certain parts highlighted with the same paint as the exterior, and the pink neon glow gives away the fact that this is not a your average workhorse pickup.

As you approach the ride for a better look of the inside, the interior immediately captivates you. Louis Vuitton on white is a view that will, at any given day, enamour the ladies, and fill a man’s ego. Add a touch of neon pink lighting, and a Barney stuff toy between the seats, and you have yourself a ride that’s impossible not to love.

Then when you finally start to relax from the visual fixation, you start to notice the other details, such as the custom speaker enclosures on the doors and kickpanels, plus the video monitors on each visor (not seen on picture). Turning the stereo on, cranking the volume up, the music sounds crisp and clean. But wait, the bass indeed packs a punch! You start to wonder where all that audio power is coming from.

A peek into the back seat reveals the source of all that audible power. Amplifiers custom-mounted on the floor with matching neon pink lighting and Louis Vuitton leather consistent with the front just enthralls you. The pinkish glow emanating into the white seats gives nice visual treat, especially at night.

Now here’s the source of all that chest pumping bass. A custom subwoofer is mounted neatly where the rear seatback used to be, blended with the same Louis Vuitton leather as with the rest of the interior.

I’ll be honest with you, I’ve never seen a Mitsubishi L200 as neat as this. Who would’ve known that you could turn a workhorse pickup into a posh ride?

They say it’s an SUV, but I know what an SUV looks like, and it isn’t like this. It carries the 1-Series badge, but it sure ain’t a beefed-up 1-Series, as it rides on a 3-Series platform, made into a wagon, with higher ground clearance. It sure ain’t no offroader, but it sits high enough to suck up the bumps and potholes in the urban jungles of the Philippines.

It seems BMW has created a whole new type of vehicle with the X1. With a cargo capacity of up to 1,350 liters of storage space, it’s the ultimate grocery getter and lipat-bahay machine. With a semi command sitting position, performance control, the handling of a 3-Series Tourer, acceleration that will definitely beat any SUV and most cars at any given day, and suspension that seems to be meant to tackle the unruly roads of the Philippines, and fuel economy of 15km/L (combined) that won’t burn a hole in your pocket, you have yourself a Swiss Army knife for the Philippines.

But going back to the looks, since it really is DIFFERENT, what if you can turn “Joy” into “Ecstatically Euphoric Bliss”?

Enter BMW tuner AC Schnitzer.

Just take a look at these pictures, and try to tell me you wouldn’t dare to be DIFFERENT in the BMW X1 with AC Schnitzer wheels.

Pitstop Customz took a standard run-of-the-mill 2nd Generation Mitsubishi Pajero and began work on the front doors. Try having your driver roll down the Greenbelt driveway to pick you up and open the door in a normal Pajero – nobody will take notice. But if your doors open upwards – ala Lamborghini, everyone will take notice!

As you enter this stunning ride, you’re immediately greeted by the sight and scent of plush luxurious Burberry-print leather; the kind of interior fit for an Arab Sheik. As you get inside and take your place on the front seat, it’s not that hard to imagine yourself cruising down the Middle-East desert this Dakkar Rally-bred Pajero riding on wide all-terrain Bridgestone tires, on your way to pick up your Brazilian model dates (yes dates) for the evening.

Looking for entertainment along the way, you crank the music up to find yourself bouncing to the beat – the pounding bass punching through the air. With the unmistakeable “feel” the music, it’s clear that this ain’t no ordinary sound system. Looking out back, you’re greeted by no less than 4 massive subwoofers, with enough power to cause momentary deafness (not that you’d want that to happen), or host a beach party!

As you stop to pick up your companions for the night, you’d be delighted to see the surprise in their faces as you open the rear doors – suicide style, ala Rolls-Royce Phantom. And they’d be more than happy to join you for that ride, as the ambiance is set by the same Burberry leather that adorns the rest of the vehicle.

Ever wonder what that door-mounted monitor is for? Well, aside from giving onlookers a visual treat while parked with the doors open, partying to the music along the beach, this may also serve another purpose with the doors closed… perhaps to give your Brazilian dates some visually-entertaining motivation while chillin’ around in various positions? LOL!

You reach your final destination – to watch the sunset at the beach, with Brazilian models by your sides, a campfire to keep you warm, a bottle of champagne, and your Pajero, with the rear door open, giving you audio-visual entertainment, as you party through the night.

But one crafty Pinoy offroading genius named Paul Javier thought otherwise. He took a stock Toyota Tamaraw FX, stuffed it with all the mechanical wizardry necessary to give justice to the name “Tamaraw”, and viola! The Super Tamaraw FX:

After countless offroad trips and by much praise from the Pinoy offroading community, the Super Tamaraw FX has been given the pet name “Range Revo” due to the Land Rover mechanical components used to turn it into what it is today. It has Range Rover Axles and a Series Land Rover transfer case.

The tires are 36-inch tall military non-directional treads, similar to those fitted in army 6×6 trucks. The long wheelbase allows the fitment of a dual transfer case system for a wide selection of low gearing, and a super low crawl ratio. Despite the complexity, this rig is still capable of going 120kph on the highway.

Raging river crossings? No problem!

Did you think underwater riverbeds are always flat? That’s probably true only in the flooded streets of Manila. It doesn’t mean that you have a snorkel, you can go through terrain like this. Because out there with mother nature, things are way more extreme. You have got to have a capable offroad vehicle to go through terrain like this.
