The <strong>Subaru Impreza WRX</strong> is known as one of the most desired tuner cars from the land of the rising sun &#8211; Japan. With a 2.5L turbocharged engine in a compact body the size of your grandma&#8217;s Honda Civic, to the uninitiated, it&#8217;s like a wolf in sheep&#8217;s clothing&#8230; a ninja amongst a mass of humans.</p>
<p>Just like a Ninja, this WRX is equipped with a plethora of concealed weapons used to conquer the track. Sure, it show a handsome, well groomed persona on the outside (thanks in part to the spectacular Rota G-Force wheels), but on the inside, it&#8217;s a different story. This car has been modified where it counts.</p>
<p>We were lucky to have photographed Aurick&#8217;s Impreza just after he gave it a thorough workout during the 2012 PornFest, before it sped off into the darkness to reign terror through the night. And we have the red apocalyptic sunset in the background for effect.</p>

The <strong>Mazda RX-7 FD</strong> is considered to be a legend not only amongst other JDM vehicles, but also compared to all other sports cars in the world. It is considered to be one of the finest handling and best balanced cars of all time, thanks to its low center of gravity and 50:50 weight distribution.</p>
<p>It has received tons of accolades from motoring journalists all over the world. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_RX-7" target="_blank">Wikipedia</a> says:</p>
<blockquote><p>The FD RX-7 was <strong>Motor Trend</strong>&#8216;s Import Car of the Year. When Playboy magazine first reviewed the FD RX-7 in 1993, they tested it in the same issue as the [then] new Dodge Viper. In that issue, Playboy declared the RX-7 to be the better of the two cars. It went on to win <strong>Playboy</strong>&#8216;s Car of the Year for 1993. <p>Because of this, owners of Mazda RX-7 FD&#8217;s consider their cars to be keepers.</p>
<p><strong>Chepe Feliciano</strong> is one of those lucky FD owners. He took this white Mazda RX-7 FD3S and turned into an even more competent machine best suited for what he loves doing &#8211; going on togue runs, and long trips. Hence, the car has been setup to be used as a <strong>togue car</strong> and a <strong>touring car</strong> for out of town trips.</p>
<p>We met up with Chepe over the weekend during the <strong>2012 PornFest</strong>, where he brought his RX-7 with him for some gymkhana action. After giving the car a workout, it was ready give us a sexy pose in front of our camera just upon sundown.</p>

On the video, we talked about what the folks at GReddy had done to make the car go quick as hell. Now, we&#8217;ll talk about <strong>the body kit and aerodynamics</strong> built around the car.</p>
<p>See, if the F1 cars managed to reach 310kph on Fuji Speedway, while the <strong>GReddy 35RX Nissan GT-R</strong> managed 333kph, then there must be something about the aerodynamics of the car that made it possible. Yes, the Ben Sopra Nissan GT-R Widebody Aero Kit isn&#8217;t just for show. A lot of research, development, and testing was done to the body kit to allow the car to run beyond the speeds it was meant for.</p>
<p><a href="http://dsportmag.com/blogs/michael-ferrara/three-tracks-in-three-days" target="_blank"><strong>DSport Magazine</strong></a> caught up with <strong>Tarzan Yamada</strong> during one of the previous testing sessions of the prototype versions of the Ben Sopra body kit. Here&#8217;s what they had to say:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The previous aero parts caused instability above 200MPH. With the boost set to 1.8 bar, Tarzan managed a best of 327KPH (203MPH). Gone was the shuddering and instability from the previous aero but drag had also increased. The result was shy of the 330+ KPH realized before. However, the data would be useful in optimizing the aero before the boost is raised to 2.0 bar (which delivers an additional 100 horsepower) for its future record-setting attempt.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Now, it seems they have already perfected the design, as it was already officially launched in the <strong>2012 Tokyo Auto Salon</strong> held last January 13, 2012.</p>

The front splitter, shaped like an inverted airplane wing, provides much needed downforce to keep the front wheels gripping the ground. The hood sports multiple vents to help let warm air out of the engine bay &#8211; a must given that there are 1250 horses underneath!</p>

The body kit sports a one-piece tilting front clip. Notice shape of the wheel well behind the wheel. It is designed to vent the high-pressure air that builds up because of the scoop shape of a normal wheel well, and vent some of the heat coming from the front brakes. Also notice the small diffusers at the tips of the front splitter, right before the front wheels, designed to smooth the airflow right before the front wheels, so that the air doesn&#8217;t have to make a quick 90 degree turn going up and around the top part of the wheel, before it exits the vents behind the front wheel.</p>

The side view gives you a look of the massive overfenders. It also shows the extent of the modifications done to alter the body of the Nissan GT-R. To put it in plain words, once you install the Ben Sopra body kit, there&#8217;s no turning back. The wide body kit extends the width of the car by 4 inches. The most prominent part of the rear is a cantilever-mounted rear wing, located as high and far back as possible so that clean air flows into the rear wing in a straight direction, so it becomes efficient in generating downforce. The rear bumper also mimicks design of the vents behind the front wheels, and there is a diffuser under the rear bumper, designed to suck the air from underneath, causing the car to be sucked towards the ground, greatly influencing how the car behaves in the corners.</p>

In the quest to build the best <strong>Nissan GT-R</strong> on the planet, Japanese aftermarket tuning company <strong>TRUST / GReddy</strong> seem to have created their own holy grail &#8211; the <strong>GReddy 35RX GT-R</strong>, an extremely modified Nissan R35 GT-R. In short, Godzilla on steroids.</p>
<p>Where us mere mortals form beads of sweat on our foreheads going at 250kph along SCTEX, driving with full concentration knowing that one sudden twitch of the steering wheel could lead to disaster, for Japanese professional driver <strong>Tarzan Yamada</strong>, taking the GReddy 35RX GT-R to speeds of up to <strong>333kph</strong> along Fuji Speedway is just another day at work.</p>
<p>Wait&#8230; <strong>333kph!?</strong> Let me put some perspective into this. Yes, Fuji Speedway is known to have one of the longest straights amongst the other motorsports tracks, at 1.5km in length. But the top speed achieved by <strong>F1 cars</strong> in the last Japanese GP held at Fuji Speedway in 2008 was <strong>310kph</strong>! Those are friggin&#8217; Formula 1 cars! So for a mere Nissan GT-R to beat that, well, the folks at GReddy get some serious bragging rights.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what they did to achieve that: First, the 3.8L VR38DETT engine had been <strong>stroked to 4.3L</strong>. Second, they replaced the stock twin turbos with <strong>TD06-20G</strong> units. Third, they replaced the intake manifold and exhaust with their own GReddy versions. Next, they replaced the stock intercooler with a Type-29 unit, and the stock oil cooler and pan with DCT units. Total power is now a whopping <strong>1250hp!</strong> Lastly, to keep the car from taking off while going at speeds beyond what it was designed to go, a <strong>BenSopra wide-body aero kit</strong> was installed. The exterior was then topped off with graphics and livery from Art Factory for more eye-popping visual appeal.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m sure this car would inspire Nissan GT-R fans and tuners in the Philippines to take their cars to the next level in terms of looks and performance. Who could resist seeing the mighty Nissan GT-R beat the pants off of even the most expensive exotics in the country?</p>

The iconic <strong>Toyota bB</strong> (or its twin brother the Scion xB) has always had a following amongst the tuner crowd. Based on the Toyota Echo/Yaris/Vios platform, this car probably has the most appeal and charisma compared to its cousins, despite its boxy looks.</p>
<p>With a properly kitted-out bB or xB, you could easily roll into a parking lot filled with modified Silvias, Skylines, Evos, or Imprezas, and get the same level of respect, than if you came in with a similarly kitted-out version of any if its more rounded cousins. There&#8217;s just a certain attitude about the bB/xB that makes it stand proud.</p>
<p>The Toyota bB you see right here is a perfect example. Tricked-out by Euro Garage Motors, it has been given a complete makeover and now features a stanced and VIP&#8217;d look, making it stand out, or sit &#8211; given the 2.75&#8243; drop, like a boss (check out the camber!).</p>
<p>Black paint while sitting on <strong>Work Euroline Wheels</strong> is a traditional VIP recipe, but the guys at Euro Garage spiced this bB up by covering it with satin black vinyl wrap with custom decals, and added various exterior upgrades, making it look hotter than ever before. Additional flavor is provided by a custom audio system consisting of a Pioneer head unit, Crescendo and Ground Zero speakers, and Alipine amplifiers.</p>
<p>But the secret sauce is what you&#8217;ll find under the hood. Because this car has been turbocharged. Let me say that again, this car has been <strong>TURBOCHARGED</strong>! Yes, that&#8217;s right, the 1.5L 1NZ-FE engine has been given a doze of adrenalin care of a T25 Garrett Turbocharger, a custom exhaust, APEXi air filter, HKS Blow-Off Valve, and a G-Reddy E Manage Ultimate system. So when a ricer boy in a doped out Civic tries to cut you off thinking you&#8217;ll never catch him, you&#8217;re confident to know it won&#8217;t be easy for him to outrun you.</p>

<p>Then suddenly, a modified Mitsubishi Evo pulls up beside you, complete with lightweight carbon fiber bodywork, engine snarling as it revs, and exhales with a climactic hiss from the blow-off valve. All of a sudden, you feel you want one too.</p>
<p>But then you&#8217;re torn! Your love for driving old school classic muscle, versus your passion for fast JDM turbocharged cars, makes you wonder how you can experience both sensations at the same time.</p>

<p>This is a quick video I put together of our car shop&#8217;s (Car Porn® Racing) first attempt at a car show. </p>
<p>We had 3 entries. All of which won an award. We were stoked cuz they all almost didn&#8217;t make it. We were prepping them till the very last minute. There was still so much we wanted to get done to them so we felt a little half assed. Next show though, we&#8217;ll be more prepared. The Corvette won 2nd in the Euro/American Sports car class. We lost to a Lamborghini Superleggera. The 3-Series won 4th and the M5 won 3rd in the Race Car class. </p>
<p>Corvette &#8211; Camo wrap, lowered, racing seats, tunable ECU, and tinted lights. Very simple mods, but wait till next year, we have some crazy plans for this car. Lets just say theres going to be a lot of cutting and extending&#8230;</p>
<p>3- Series BMW &#8211; This car is a complete race car which runs a Corvette LS3 engine. This car is awesome and such a beast on the track. </p>
<p>M5 &#8211; Running all the basic mods. Filter, Exhaust, ecu, etc. But what we were really proud of, was that the whole kit was custom built and the car was widened to fit 18&#8243;x12&#8242;s front and back! </p>
<p>All in all, I was impressed with the Manila Auto Salon. There were some great cars there. Especially the super high 4&#215;4&#8242;s&#8230;Now i want to build one! The Aluminum Mustang running an RB26 was also very impressive. Entries into the MAS are improving every year, so I can&#8217;t wait to see what next year brings. </p>
<p>We were a little disappointed with some of the judging decisions. Our 3-Series and the M5 were put into the same class (race car) even though the M5 is a road car and not a race car. </p>
