Once again putting the spotlight on some of the cars that for us, stood out the most in the various car shows and events that we frequent. And today, we’re featuring this head-turning stretched, slammed, and stanced BMW E46 on air suspension that we spotted during the 2013 MIAS.
See, here in the Philippines, it’s not every day that you see a car rolling on air suspension; the driver wielding the power to slam it to the ground at will, and to raise it up to a desired ride height for driving, or more so for clearing obstacles. So if you see one in a parking lot as slammed as this, you just can’t help it. This car will stop you on your tracks, and make you go back and take a closer look. The gleaming yellow paint makes it stand out even more!
Read on to find out more about this gorgeous BMW E46 on Air Suspension…
Clearly this car isn’t your ordinary E46 sedan. And apart from the stunning yellow paint and custom air suspension system, there were those subtle enhancements done to it as well. Subtle, yes, but when combined with each other, creates harmony around the car. Things like installing the most beautiful bumper on the entire E46 line-up – the M3 front bumper. Combined with what appears to be lightly smoked headlights, and de-chromed front grille surrounds, the black and yellow finish makes it look simple, yet clean. I bet the auto-folding side mirrors adds effect to the parking sequence.
This view reveals the car’s euro tech style side skirts, roof spoiler, shark-fin roof antenna, ducktail spoiler, LED tail lights, and twin oval exhaust tips.
And of course, BBS LM wheels. I find that these are probably one of the best looking wheels you could fit onto a BMW E46.
I would imagine watching this car get parked would look like an artful ritual in itself, and would surely make for a fashionable entrance for the driver as well as the passenger(s). Something like:
1. Car enters the parking lot with throaty exhaust sound… You hear it before you see it…
2. Car enters view, yellow paint and shiny BBS wheels makes heads turn to follow the car;
3. Car gets parked;
4. HID headlights get switched off, angel-eye park lights and LED tail lights are revealed;
5. Car gets slammed to the ground, complete with the air-suspension hissing sound;
6. Side mirrors fold up automatically;
7. Angel-eye park lights turn off;
8. Engine is switched off, before the driver and passenger(s) disembark.
Surely such a sight wouldn’t be ignored. Don’t you think?
