Due to the car’s widespread popularity, there’s a large variety of modifications and customizations you can do for the Honda Civic FD. And because of that, setting it apart from the crowd has become an increasingly difficult task. If you want to stand out, the key is not to be better, but to be different. That’s exactly what Bruce Montoya Tayao has done with his Honda Civic FD. Being an advocate of the stance movement, Bruce has gone the route that not many Civic owners have done – VIP Styling, or “Bippu” as the Japanese pronounce it.
Clearly visible on the tint-less glass is the gold tsuna as well as the white fusa, both hanging from the rear-view mirror. Trademarks of a VIP-styled ride. Even better is the fact that Bruce’s stanced Civic FD, which features an aftermarket lip and skirt kit for a more ground-hugging appearance, is rolling on a set of Junction Produce Scara wheels. Mmm… Tasty! And check out how much stretch there is, especially in the rear! It took a good amount of modification (fender shaving, pulling, and camber) to get those 18×9 +31 (plus 5mm spacers) fronts on 215/35R18 tires and 18×10 +27 on 215/40R18 rear wheels to fit nicely.

Yeah this is what I was talking about. Darn that rear stretch. Sexy! And check out the subtle chroming around the body kit. Adds to that VIP look. Nice!
Junction Produce Scara wheels. Those are classic VIP wheels right there.
Of courase, what’s a stanced ride without a complimentary fitment Shot.
Stickers. Gotta love it!
