The KE70 Toyota Corolla is probably one of the more favored retro drift cars. They say it’s the next best thing to an AE86, plus, you can fit AE86 parts in it too! But some people actually prefer the look of the KE70 over the AE86. Perhaps to be different from the AE86 crowd? Whatever the reason, I personally think KE70 Toyota Corollas are cool. And if customized correctly, can turn from cool, into downright awesome, just like the KE70 Toyota Corolla you see here…
Twin headlights are for me the best looking headlights for the KE70. Fender-mounted mirrors give it a more retro feel than the more modern door-mounted ones. But the chin spoiler is what really changes the look of the front end from a humble old-school Corolla, into a more aggressive machine.
The chin spoiler flows nicely into the flared wheel arches, which cover the nice meaty wheel and tire setup. And you can’t go wrong with bronze wheels on a sporty-looking white car.
On the inside, things have been kept stock as can be (looks like it’s still an ongoing restoration). But under the hood is a different story.
Because the engine bay looks so clean, it’s like you can eat off of it! Check out the chrome bits on that 4AGE! And wait until you hear the sound of this thing. We gave the “Best Engine Roar” award to this car during the Streetwise Auto Show because it sounded so mean and angry, and revved with no hesitation to 9,000 RPM! Total adrenaline rush. And the sound was truly from the engine, not the exhaust. So the engine you see here isn’t only for show. It’s definitely following a formula of show and go.
