Just when you thought the Nissan RB25DET NEO engine couldn’t be a better match with the Nissan Skyline R34 GT, Ehsan Javahery found something even better – the infamous Toyota 1JZ-GTE engine. Yes, for the purists out there, the 1JZ is a better engine, both in stock and modified forms. Even Skyline fanatics all over the different forums admit it. The effect? Solid awesome gobs of power! A complete transformation of this Skyline – now dubbed the Frankenline.

    Yes the 1JZ RB25 debate. :) The 1JZ has twin turbos that’s one, but the RB25 NEO has single only but a better head and lighter. So power wise the 1JZ takes it stock, but tuned it’ll be close especially since the weight of these engines may be a factor on a race track. For me I wouldn’t do that even though toyota engines and parts are cheaper but in effect makes the front end of the car much more heavy… eeeeek! Talk about a nose heavy sedan.
