The Devil Z from Heaven by DriftMob Works

When I first posted the Skyline Heaven photo a few days ago, little did you know that there was one car concealed amidst the plethora of Skylines from the Nissan Skyline Club. And that car is this one-of-a-kind 1972 Datsun 240Z – known by can enthusiasts as the “Devil Z”.

But I mentioned “one-of-a-kind”, and there’s a reason behind me saying that. And besides the fact that the massive intercooler is already telling you that there’s something else lurking under the hood. No, it’s much more special than that. And that’s because this Devil Z is one that has ironically come from Heaven… or at least from the Skyline… the Nissan Skyline, that is. It’s literally an R33 Skyline with the 240Z body over it

Finding out about this amazing custom ride built by DriftMob Works got me real curious about the extent of the conversion. So I asked John Boban, the man behind DriftMob Works to tell us a bit more about their creation.

Here’s what he had to say:
“Well, it’s a 1972 Datsun 240Z, with a complete R33 chassis. It’s got Skyline Brakes, Shocks, Arms, Cross Member, the works, including R33 Rack and Pinion Steering. We installed a Front Mount Intercooler, Stainless Intercooler Piping and Exhaust System, 1.5-way Viscous LSD, and it’s now seam welded. The engine is an RB25DET Gen 2. Normally, the wheels are Rota RB-R’s in 17×9 4×114 -13 offset, though we were using a different set of wheels when we brought it to Macapagal where these photos were taken.”
