2010 Lateral Drift Pro-Am Championship Round 4

Alex Perez - Lateral Drift Round 4

Hello to all car enthusiasts! Welcome to round 4 of the 2010 Lateral Drift Pro-Am Championship! It was wet and wild for this round so this round was a bit special. After negotiating with the weather, Alex Perez of Team Yellowcab in his S13 won this round after a fierce battle with Jason Choachuy.

For the Saturday qualifying session, it was a dry one. Sixteen drivers each from the amateur and pro division went through to battle it out for the race on Sunday. One of the best looking cars out there was the Mazda RX-7 of Tuason Racing School.

Atoy Llave qualifies too for the 4th round. His car, though it looks like a R34 Skyline, is a modified Cefiro. Nice one Atoy!

The drivers who were able to qualify proceeded to the Sunday race. There were dark clouds in the horizon and that gave a hint that it will turn out to be an interesting one. The amateur division drivers were lucky because rain had not yet proceeded in their turn.

The yellow R33 Skyline of Norman Agojo was one of the nice cars in the competition. Unfortunately, he ends up only in the top 8.

For the Filipino celebrity Ryan Agoncillo in the Team Yellowcab Nissan S13, he went well until he was dispatched by Bjorn Ongtiabok in the diesel-powered Mazda BT50.

The overall winner for the Amateur division for Round 4 was Kar Montaner! Just 19 years of age, he slugged it out to the drivers who were a lot older than him. Here he is on the Toyota Corona.

Unlucky for Pacho Blanco, the Colombian Drag Lord, he commited a mistake during his battle with Jason Choachuy. He finished too in the top 8.

Same is the case for Gio Rodriguez in the A-toy Bodykits / Falken Tires A31 Cefiro with Skyline fascia. He wasn’t able to advance to the top 4 battle as he committed an error on his run.
