For the uninitiated, Martini Racing is a long-time motorsports sponsorship program by the Martini & Rossi Distillery, creators of the Martini Vermouth. And yes, it’s the one used with James Bond’s favorite drink – “Vodka Martini… shaken, not stirred.”

Martini Racing’s sponsorship program begain in 1968, and has covered various types of motorsports such as Sports Car Racing, Formula One, Rallying, Touring Car Racing, and even Powerboats. But this particular Porsche 911 you see here, was built for Sports Car Racing.

What you see right here is a full-breed racing car meant to tackle the race track in the quickest time possible, while enduring several hours of racing, night or day. Hence the sexy air slicing aerodynamics, ground hugging stance, and additional driving lights.

Being an all-out racing car, the interior has only the bare essentials. Everything else you’d see in the normal road car has been removed to reduce weight. And those remaining have been bolstered up to aid the driver in racing. This includes a racing seat, harness, steering wheel, shifter, and the like. And of course, a safety roll cage that serves both to protect the driver, and to stiffen up the chassis for better handling.
