The 1979 Toyota Corona RT130 is a classic vintage ride that is much loved by the old school car enthusiasts. it was the first version of the Corona to come with front and rear independent struts, and power steering in all variants.
And what you see featured here is the Cartistics version of the classic 1979 Toyota Corona.
This ride started its life in a very sorry state. But thanks to Budoy Arle of Cartistics Auto Restoration Garage, it was brought back to life, and even better than what it was the first time it rolled out of the showroom.
This is what the car looks like before the restoration. Just look at its condition back then! It seems this was ready for the scrapyard. But thanks to Budoy, who chose to restore this car to honor his father who used to own this car, it is back in pristine condition. Just take a look at the car’s specifications list below, and you’ll see what I mean about it being “better” than it was back in 1979.
Hellaflush? Or Sortaflush? Either way, these wheels make the ride look even cooler, just as a woman’s shoes matches the dress.
Notice the cool headlamp washers standard back in the day in this car’s JDM version.
Replacing the original 12R is still a classic Toyota 18R-GU. Yet, it has been built up from mild to wild. To give you an idea of how wild it now is, just listen to what it sounds like. To give you an idea, let me try and describe it for you. Take a classic American V8 Musclecar Engine, say, a Ford Mustang, bring it inside your house, and rev it to the limit. That’s how it sounds like. Because I’ve seen this car beat a Musclecar in an engine roar contest before. This car rocks!
