The problem with Koenigsegg Doors

Nothing else in the Automotive industry screams “look at me” in front of a crowded street than opening your car’s trick door system. However, these are not without its drawbacks. With Lamborghini doors and Mercedes Gullwing doors, you will have to look out for low parking lots. With Ford GT40 doors, tight parking lots. But with Koenigsegg doors, or scientifically known as the dihedral synchro-helix actuation system, you will have to look out for sidewalks!

Opening the door whilst you are parked any closer than 40cm from a sidewalk that is 10cm high will bust a hole in your pocket and your ego so big, you’re gonna wish you never brought the car out in the first place.

But that doesn’t stop Pinoy car tuners out there who are willing to put their creativity and ingenuity juices to the test! I’d like to see a nice dihedral synchro-helix actuation system conversion in one of the future car shows. I’m preeeety sure whoever nails this first will be the next big thing in car customization in the Philippines.
